Desde el Hospital Central Dr. Urquinaona la Alcaldía de Maracaibo inició este martes 23 de marzo un operativo especial para redoblar la limpieza y desinfección de los espacios públicos en la ciudad, ante la presencia en el país de la variante brasileña de la COVID 19.
El director de Seguridad Ciudadana, Joseph Bohórquez, informó que la medida responde a las disposiciones del presidente de la República, Nicolás Maduro Moros, y del alcalde Willy Casanova para reforzar los cordones de bioseguridad y controlar la movilización en la ciudad.
El cronograma especial abarcó en su primer día el Mercado Popular Curva de Molina y se extenderá por todos los centros de salud, espacios públicos, especialmente los mercados municipales, farmacias, cadenas de supermercados, unidades y paradas de transporte público, instituciones gubernamentales e instancias privadas esenciales.
El despliegue de desinfección involucra al Cuerpo de Bomberos, Protección Civil y Polimaracaibo, que con el apoyo de la Dirección General de Servicios Públicos, estarán aplicando el Plan de Desinfección para cortar la cadena de contagio.
Control de movilización
Con el respaldo de las brigadas de prevención en los 88 Cuadrantes de Paz de Maracaibo, más de 310 funcionarias y funcionarios de los distintos cuerpos de seguridad en el municipio se abocará al control de la movilización, empleando más de 16 unidades para los diferentes territorios, sectores y comunidades, donde estará activo nuevamente el sistema de vigilancia y control georeferencial, para determinar con certeza la ubicación de los casos positivos o sospechosos del virus.
«El llamado es a la conciencia colectiva, a cumplir con las dos semanas de la Cuarentena Radical Estricta anunciada por el Ejecutivo. Estaremos con campañas de perifoneo local y habrá control sobre la movilidad y el desplazamiento en la ciudad, porque se trata de un asunto de seguridad ciudadana, y quien pretenda violentarlo deberá responder ante las autoridades», enfatizó Bohórquez.
La estrategia preventiva profundiza los protocolos establecidos por la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), garantizando limpieza y desinfección de espacios, fumigación e higienización de superficies, al tiempo de contar con campañas informativas para remarcar las normas de bioseguridad entre la ciudadanía.
