La Fundación Amigos de la Mujer con Cáncer de Mama (Famac) anunció que la «gran marea rosa» vuelve de forma presencial este 16 de octubre por lo que desde ya se pueden obtener los números de participación con los cuales se obtendrán recursos para la atención de cientos de pacientes que no cuentan con el dinero para su tratamiento.
La «XXII Caminata por la Vida, reconectando nuestra esencia«, comprende un circuito de 10 kilómetros, el cual se ha estimado como hora de arranque a las 6.30 de la mañana, anunciaron en el encuentro con los medios celebrado este jueves y que permitió dilucidar muchos detalles del evento que enmarcan como un disfrute social y no una competencia.
La Caminata por la Vida se ha convertido en la marcha no deportiva más concurrida del país, donde incluso en el año 2015 logró reunir a más de 22 mil personas en Maracaibo.
Betty de Fajardo, vicepresidenta de Famac, indicó que solo están autorizados para la venta de los números identificativos los puntos rosas, los cuales serán anunciados en su cuenta de la red social Instagram y también en la sede de la organización ubicada en el centro comercial Indio Mara. Cualquier otra decisión sobre ello será anunciada por la misma vía.
La motivación que tiene Famac con esta edición es superior ya que vuelve la caminata presencial a la par de la actividad virtual, la cual mantendrá el apoyo de la fundación cuando se haga el posteo hacia la cuenta con sus respectivos datos.
Los participantes de la caminata contarán con la seguridad por parte de la Policía Regional y la Policía Municipal, se instalarán puntos de hidratación así como de asistencia de salud. A la par habrá una estación para tomarse fotografías en la ruta establecida y tener así un recuerdo del este evento.
También señalaron las interlocutoras que se otorgarán premios a varias categorías.
El costo del número identificador se estableció en 5 dólares que puede ser adquirido en divisas o en bolívares al cambio oficial.

Otras maneras de apoyar la causa de Famac
Famac también ha dispuesta otras maneras de participación como es el patrocinio del evento y el cual han establecido en tres categorías: Principal, Estrella y Colaborador. Igualmente existe otra manera para que los empresarios puedan hacer el aporte especial. Igualmente aquellas personas que se encuentran fuera del país pueden enviar sus solicitudes de compra del número identificador a través del correo mencionado o por mensaje directo a la cuenta de Instagram, dado que durante los dos años de la pandemia resultó un éxito para la fundación esta manera de mantener la camina activa.
Los objetivos por alcanzar
Los recursos obtenidos con la Caminata por la Vida sirven para cubrir el 70 % de los tratamientos para los pacientes que acuden a la Famac dado que no cuentan con el dinero para atender su enfermedad.
Señalaron que se han incorporado 252 pacientes nuevos en el listado de atención de Famac y ya suman más de 15 mil los que se han beneficiado por el apoyo dado por el ente.
Manifestaron que uno de los objetivos de la caminata es la de crear conciencia en cuanto a los chequeos y a la atención oportuna cuando se detecte el cáncer ya que se ha demostrado que en un 95 por ciento de los casos que se tratan de forma inmediata se recuperan.
