Los homicidios de los obreros del campo Rafael Ángel Palmar (63) y de su colega conocido simplemente como el «Yupa» quedaron esclarecidos cuando José Ramón González González, de 37 años, confesó ambos crímenes tras ser detenido por uniformados del Cuerpo de Policía Bolivariana del estado Zulia.
Los funcionarios, adscritos al centro de coordinación Sur del Lago Este, realizaban labores de campo relacionadas con el homicidio en el sector Cristo Rey, parroquia Simón Rodríguez, municipio Francisco Javier Pulgar, ayer lunes 27 de diciembre cuando hallaron al sospechoso en la vía pública.
Los testigos ubicaron primeramente a González en la finca Monte Verde, donde sostuvo una riña con Palmar, quien ingería alcohol para el momento. En punto de la pelea el señalado agarró un hacha y la clavó en la cabeza de su contrincante.
Palmar murió en el sitio. Los que presenciaron la pelea notaron que González tenía en una bolsa el antebrazo y mano de su otra víctima, el «Yupa», la cual enterró en los predios del parcelamiento San Camilo, donde fue visto cavando una fosa, supuestamente, para sembrar una planta.
En el interrogatorio González admitió ambos asesinatos, además, explicó que mató golpes y con una piedra al «Yupa» porque este le debía dinero desde hace cinco meses por lo que procedió a enterrarlo en el sitio donde fue visto «sembrando una planta».
Los efectivos del Eje de Investigación de Homicidio de la Policía científica corroboraron el testimonio cuando acudieron al sitio y hallaron el segundo cuerpo.
González, natural del municipio Guajira, quien también es obrero del campo y analfabeta, fue trasladado bajo resguardo hacia el núcleo policial de Pueblo Nuevo – El Chivo a la orden de la fiscalía 16° del Ministerio Público en Santa Bárbara del Zulia.
