El organismo de inteligencia informó que atendieron una denuncia hecha por la comunidad afectada que daba cuenta sobre el escondite empleado por el miembros del grupo criminal que robaba el cableado eléctrico de las residencias y locales comerciales de los sectores Lago Azul, Gallo Verde y San Pedro, de Maracaibo.
Una vez corroborada la información, la comisión del Sipez salió hacia una vivienda en el sector Lago Azul II, parroquia Manuel Dagnino, donde ayer 25 de agosto los uniformados vieron salir a uno de los señalados con un tramo de cable de aterramiento y otro de guaya.
Los sospechosos, al ver a los funcionarios, abandonaron el material e intentaron huir, sin embargo, fueron alcanzados y trasladado a la sede en la Circunvalación 3 donde procesaron su detención.
En el sitio del procedimiento fue recolectado un tramo de guaya peso 18.2 kilogramos y largo 47.81 metros; otro de aterramiento cuyo peso fue peso 20.6 kilogramos y largo 30.01 metros, y un carnet de PDVSA.
La evidencia y los detenidos fueron puestos la orden de la fiscalía 1° del Ministerio Público.
