Autoridades del estado Vargas activaron un operativo de búsqueda en el mar, luego de la desaparición de tres bañistas en playas de las zonas de Arrecife y Chuspa. La información fue confirmada por las autoridades regionales, a través de sus cuentas en redes sociales.
«En las labores de búsqueda se encuentran, desde el sábado 18, funcionarios de Bomberos del estado, Bomberos Marinos, Guardia Nacional y efectivos policiales», aseguró el secretario de Seguridad Ciudadana, Andrés Goncálves.
Detalló que los incidentes han ocurrido por el uso de playas prohibidas y el fuerte oleaje registrado las últimas 72 horas, en el litoral central venezolano.
La primera desaparición reportada fue la de una pareja de hermanos de 13 y 11 años de edad, quienes compartían el sábado 18 con un grupo familiar en playa La Cueva, cercana a la planta termoeléctrica Tacoa, en Arrecife.
Según testigos, los adolescentes fueron arrastrados por las olas alrededor de las 2:00 pm.
Los desaparecidos fueron identificados como Kenyerlid Edimar Antequera Castillo (11) y Daniel Alexander Antequera Castillo (13), quienes estaban en el lugar con sus padres Kennedy Antequera (33) y Francis Castillo Díaz (31). El grupo familiar es oriundo del estado Cojedes y viajaron a la costa de Vargas a pasar las fechas navideñas.
El segundo incidente se reportó el domingo 19 en Playa Caribe, en la parroquia Chuspa, al extremo este de Vargas, donde desapareció Eduardo José Torres Bastidas, de 19 años de edad, quien compartía la playa con compañeros de trabajo e integrantes de su grupo familiar.
Presuntamente, Bastidas se sumergió para ayudar a una mujer que pedía auxilio, pues se estaba ahogando. El joven logró poner a la mujer a salvo, pero la corriente lo arrastró.
Fuentes de los Bomberos Marinos de Vargas confirmaron a El Pitazo que el último reporte de este martes 21 de diciembre informa que ha sido infructuosa la búsqueda de los tres desaparecidos.
