La dirigente política María Corina Machado, pronunció un discurso este 2 de marzo desde la Avenida Bella Vista de Maracaibo, donde afirmó que el pueblo venezolano saldrá a votar el 28 de julio, en las elecciones presidenciales, por Edmundo González.
«El 28 de julio saldremos todos a votar con alegría y firmeza por Edmundo González», expresó Machado en medio de aplausos de los presentes.
También se refirió a las primarias de la oposición, que se realizaron en 2023 y donde ella resultó ganadora, que ese día «los venezolanos cortamos con una vieja forma de hacer política».
“Tenemos tarjeta y tenemos un candidato: Edmundo González Urrutia (…) Todos aquellos que confiaron en mí el 22 de octubre a votar el 28 de julio con energía y firmeza por Edmundo González”, insistió.
A la tarima llegaron el alcalde de Maracaibo, Rafael Ramírez; la diputada Nora Bracho, por el partido Un Nuevo Tiempo (UNT); y otros representantes de las organizaciones aliadas a la Plataforma Unitaria como Freddy Superlano, Juan Pablo Guanipa y Gustavo Ruiz, por Vente Venezuela regional.
Sobre el pueblo zuliano, que la recibió al grito de «El Zulia está con vos», afirmó que tiene plena confianza en que saldrán a votar, porque «el Zulia ha sido luz para la lucha de 25 años».
«El Zulia nunca le ha fallado a Venezuela. Confío en el Zulia», aseguró Machado, quien respondió a los gritos de cariño afirmando que ama a los zulianos con toda su «alma».
