Los servicios de inteligencia de Ucrania calculan que en las fronteras del país Rusia acumula actualmente más de 94.000 soldados y consideran que el momento más probable de un eventual ataque sería a finales de enero de 2022, dijo este viernes (3.12.2021) el ministro ucraniano de Defensa, Oleksii Reznikov.
«Nuestra inteligencia está analizando todos los escenarios, incluido los peores. Dicen que hay una posibilidad de una escalada de gran alcance por parte de Rusia», señaló durante una comparecencia en la Rada Suprema (Parlamento), según la agencia ucraniana UKRINFORM.
Dijo que, según estas informaciones, «el momento más probable para alcanzar la preparación para la escalada será a finales de enero».
Reznikov quiso subrayar «que la escalada es un escenario probable, pero no certera, y nuestra tarea es darle la vuelta», afirmó.
«Cuanto mejor trabajemos, solos y con socios, menor será el riesgo de escalada. La forma es hacer que el precio de una posible escalada sea inaceptable para el agresor», añadió.
Reiteró que «Ucrania está más interesada en el escenario político y diplomático del arreglo» del conflicto en el Donbás, donde Rusia apoya desde 2014 a los separatistas prorrusos en el conflicto con el Ejército ucraniano.
Rusia afirma que no puede desescalar las tensiones porque Ucrania quiere retomar los territorios «por la fuerza».
«En principio, no puede haber provocaciones violentas por nuestra parte. Al mismo tiempo, no se contempla la forma de ‘pacificar al agresor’. Si es necesario, Ucrania contraatacará», aseguró el ministro de Defensa.
Reznikov sostuvo que Rusia lleva un año utilizando la táctica de concentrar sus tropas cerca de las fronteras ucranianas y luego retirarlas pero dejando el equipamiento militar atrás, lo que le permite reducir el tiempo de despliegue.
«En abril y septiembre de este año, Rusia acercó a más de 50 grupos tácticos de batallón a nuestras fronteras. Actualmente, 41 grupos tácticos de batallón están constantemente en alerta alrededor de Ucrania y en la península de Crimea ocupada temporalmente», indicó.
«El número total de tropas en Rusia, así como en los territorios ocupados temporalmente, que pueden ser utilizados para la escalada, se estima hoy en 94.300 personas», dijo Reznikov.
Señaló que Rusia está comenzando actualmente el período de entrenamiento de invierno, por lo que los ejercicios militares han comenzado cerca de Ucrania.
«Si dos grandes barcos de desembarco de la Flota del Báltico entran desde el Mediterráneo al mar Negro, su número total en la región aumentará a nueve», recalcó.
Junto con los barcos, esto permitirá a Rusia transferir simultáneamente hasta 3.000 militares y hasta 250 unidades de vehículos blindados de combate.
Rusia exige a EE. UU. «garantías de seguridad» en sus fronteras
El jefe de la diplomacia rusa, Serguei Lavrov, declaró el jueves a su homólogo estadounidense que Moscú quería tener «garantías de seguridad» en sus fronteras, en medio de tensiones entre Rusia y los países occidentales por Ucrania .
Durante una reunión en Suecia con Antony Blinken, Lavrov dijo que era «imperativo» proporcionar «garantías de seguridad a largo plazo para las fronteras occidentales» de Rusia , dijo el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores ruso en un comunicado.
Moscú teme que Ucrania se integre a la OTAN, organización que considera como una amenaza a su seguridad.
Lavrov también pidió a su homólogo estadounidense que no «arrastre a Ucrania al juego geopolítico de Estados Unidos», pues de lo contrario Moscú se vería «obligado a tomar medidas para restablecer el equilibrio militar-estratégico», según el comunicado.
El miércoles, el presidente ruso Vladimir Putin, exigió «garantías jurídicas» contra la extensión de la OTAN a los países del este.
