Hasta el miércoles permanecerá cerrada la Vereda del Lago

Desde este lunes 19 de abril y hasta el miércoles 21 permanecerá cerrado al público el parque Vereda del Lago, tiempo en el cual la Alcaldía Bolivariana de Maracaibo realizará una jornada especial de limpieza integral que incluye poda de árboles, desmalezamiento y recolección de escombros, entre otros trabajos que buscan embellecer este espacio público.

En el operativo participan el Instituto Municipal de Ambiente (IMA), el Imau, las direcciones de Servicio y Mantenimiento Urbano y de Asuntos Eléctricos, junto al Sistema Desconcentrado de Plazas y Parques de Maracaibo (Sedepar).

El director de Servicios Públicos, Roberto Rojas, indicó que también se revisarán y adecuarán las luminarias, que garantizan un espacio limpio y seguro para los maracaiberos que lo visiten.

En tanto, el director del IMA, Arcadio Delgado, destacó que los trabajos de desmalezamiento, poda y tala de árboles, así como la limpieza de la desembocadura de la cañada, son ejecutados por 150 ambientalista que dan lo mejor para el embellecimiento de las áreas de la Vereda del Lago.

Por su parte, la directora del Sedepar, Mariell Benítez, indicó que en el marco del plan Maracaibo Bella y la Misión Venezuela Bella, el alcalde bolivariano, Willy Casanova, ha orientado la intervención integral de la Vereda del Lago, obra que se viene desarrollando desde el 2019 y que se consolida este año 2021 con la iluminación, la limpieza integral y la recolección de desechos orgánicos en todo el parque.

Benítez aseguró que está prevista además la culminación de la segunda etapa de la costa de este lugar emblemático, proyecto que arrancó en abril y debe estar listo en los próximos tres meses.

«Maracaibo se merece el parque metropolitano más hermoso y en el marco de la Misión Venezuela Bella, nosotros vamos a cumplir con eso”.

El presidente de la Vereda del Lago, Jonny Pérez manifestó que están recuperando este espacio que desde 1978 forma parte de la familias maracaiberas y recalcó que están impulsando también el renacer económico a través de proyectos gastronómicos dentro de La Vereda, para brindar servicios óptimos a la ciudadanía.
