Después de casi dos meses, familiares de dos trabajadores desaparecidos conocieron su paradero tras ser hallados sin vida en la vía a El Paito, al sur de Valencia. El Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas (Cicpc) estaría averiguando más detalles del hecho.
Tras investigaciones relacionadas con el caso, a finales del mes de enero funcionarios del Cicpc dieron con dos cadáveres en una zona enmontada en la vía hacia El Paito. Estaban en avanzado estado de descomposición.
Los cuerpos fueron identificados como Carlos Ruíz y Ezequiel Hernández, los trabajadores que habían sido reportados por sus familias como desaparecidos desde el 1° de diciembre de 2021.
Ese día, Ruíz y Hernández salieron de Bello Monte a entregar una mercancía hacia El Paíto. Se cree que cuando iban de regreso, a eso de las 5:00 de la tarde, habrían sido interceptados por sujetos armados, quienes los despojaron del camión en el que iban.
Aparentemente, ese mismo 1° de diciembre los asesinaron, mientras que el camión habría sido entregado a otra persona que lo trasladaba hacia el estado Táchira. El conductor fue detenido en un punto de control en esa región cuando unos funcionarios detectaran que el vehículo de carga estaba solicitado por robo.
Hasta ahora, se desconoce si hay más detenidos por el caso. Mientras tanto, las familias Ruíz y Hernández piden justicia.
