Enfermeros de los centros médicos de Margarita denuncian falta de suministros, agresiones de familiares de los pacientes y falta de personal en el día a día de su profesión.
Directivo del Colegio de profesionales de enfermería, Denis Maita, explicó que el salario no cubre las necesidades básicas como la alimentación ni tampoco la recreación.
“Es vivido todos los días que el personal de salud sufre de violencia y agresiones tanto como por los usuarios, como por los familiares, simplemente porque son la cara visible de los sistemas”, agregó el dirigente.
Maita emplazó al Ministerio para la Salud y al Instituto Venezolano de los Seguros Sociales a ocuparse de la dotación de los hospitales y ambulatorios a su cargo, además, clamó por mejores salarios para los profesionales que representa.
Detalló que enfermería es una profesión que en un 99 por ciento está en manos de la mujer, pero que devenga un salario que no alcanza para cubrir sus necesidades básicas y que en su condición de mujer son responsables de su hogar, además, en los últimos dos años no se hace ningún tipo de evaluación médica.
“Tienen un salario mínimo muy limitado y viven en viviendas que son alquiladas. No pueden cubrir sus necesidades básicas de alimentación, de vivienda y educación”, detalló.
