Desde el Aeropuerto Internacional La Chinita arrancaron este lunes los vuelos con destino Maracaibo-Caracas. La primera operación a la capital del país se hizo a las 6.00 de la mañana, según informó Alberto Jiménez, director del terminal aéreo en contacto telefónico con el programa del gobernador Omar Prieto.
El primer vuelo a Maiquetía lo hizo la aerolínea Venezolana con 54 pasajeros a bordo. Para este lunes estarían planificadas otras tres rutas: 9.00 de la mañana con Aeropostal, 10.55 de la mañana Estelar y a las 4.00 de la tarde otra vez Venezolana sale a Maiquetía.
Jiménez detalló que para esta semana de flexibilización están previstas 20 operaciones en la terminal aéreo. Precisó que 16 son con destino a Maiquetía, dos para Porlamar, dos para Maturín y que para el 3 de agosto estiman arrancar vuelos Maracaibo-Valencia.
La Cámara de Comercio de Maracaibo venía pidiendo la reanudación de vuelos de Maracaibo hacia Maiquetía pues consideraban que el Zulia estaba «aislado» de la capital del país por las restricciones pandémicas y de problemas como al falta de agua, gasolina y electricidad.
Además, no veían problemas en retomar los viajes a Maiquetía en vista que se realizaba ruta turística desde Maracaibo a Canaima o Porlamar
«En un país centralizado como Venezuela, es indispensable que nuestras empresas puedan viajar con regularidad y cuando lo necesiten a la capital», indicó François Galletti, presidente de la Cámara de Comercio.
