El presidente ucraniano, Volodimir Zelenski, pidió este sábado una reunión del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU en vista de la escalada militar en torno a Ucrania y añadió que hace falta una hoja de ruta para una “posible integración de Ucrania en la alianza” de la OTAN.
“En las próximas semanas es necesario buscar nuevas garantías de seguridad para Ucrania con los países del Consejo de Seguridad y con la participación de Europa, Alemania y Turquía”, afirmó en la Conferencia de Seguridad que se celebra en Múnich.
Zelenski preguntó si la comunidad internacional ha aprendido alguna lección de dos guerras mundiales e instó a actuar con urgencia para reparar los fallos del sistema antes de que comience una tercera.
“Ucrania anhela la paz. Europa anhela la paz. Rusia dice que no quiere atacar. Hay alguien que está mintiendo”, indicó Zelenski en la Conferencia de Seguridad de Múnich.
Zelenski pidió después un mayor compromiso de la comunidad internacional, y una revisión de la actual arquitectura de seguridad mundial, según detalla EFE.
“La arquitectura de seguridad está resquebrajada, tal vez es demasiado tarde para repararla. Necesitamos una nueva arquitectura de seguridad”, destacó.
