La plusmarquista mundial y campeona olímpica Yulimar Rojas regresa al Centro Deportivo de Gallur, donde batió su primer récord del mundo en triple salto con 15.43 metros hace dos años. Sobre la pista, y con el objetivo de batir un nuevo récord, se medirá a la cubana Liadagmis Povea (14.54), reseña EFE.
«Saltar 15,43 metros aquí fue especial. Cada vez que lo recuerdo me motiva para seguir trabajando. Ahora espero igualar o superar esa marca. Madrid siempre se me da bien y Gallur es una pista que añoro», declara Yulimar de cara a su cita en la capital española.
El gran duelo español se prevé en el 3.000 con Adel Mechaal (7:30.82) y Mohamed Katir (7:36), que correrán junto al dúo etíope que forman el campeón olímpico de 10 mil, Selemon Barega (7:26.10), y el subcampeón olímpico de 3000 obstáculos Lamecha Girma (7:27.98).
