En esa sexta ronda, la venezolana aterrizó más allá de la plusmarca mundial de la ucraniana Inessa Kravets (15,50), pero su pie invadió tres centímetros la plastilina y el salto fue declarado nulo, de ahí que el triunfo fuera para la jamaicana Shanieka Ricketts, la única de las tres finalistas que ejecutó un salto válido en la ronda por el título (14,29).
«Trato de entender el beneficio de este nuevo formato de competición y también me da curiosidad saber quien lo creó. No tiene ningún sentido, es muy absurdo y ridículo», comentó la venezolana en las redes sociales.
Rojas lo explicó con un ejemplo: «Es como si en un juego de baloncesto se jugaran tres periodos de tiempo y en el último todo empezará nuevamente de cero sin importar las cantidad de puntos acumulados en todo el juego».
«En realidad es ilógico», añadió. «Aunque sé que soy deportista de alto rendimiento y debo trabajar en base a cualquier nueva regla pero no es justo para ninguna de las competidoras».
Tras declararse «feliz» con su desempeño en Mónaco, concluyó: «Nos interesaba saltar sin pensar en nada más y con la mirada puesta en Tokio, estoy convencida que todo va por buen camino».
