Sebastián Yatra está «emocionado» ante la ceremonia de los Oscar, que se celebra este domingo y a la que asistirá como intérprete de «Dos oruguitas», nominada a la mejor canción, aunque no quiere desvelar si la cantará en la gala.
«Voy a asistir, y de todo lo demás ya se irán enterando», sin querer entrar en detalles sobre si actuará en la ceremonia de entrega de los premios, que se celebrará este próximo 27 de marzo en el teatro Dolby de Los Ángeles (EEUU).
Lo habitual en los Oscar es que en cada edición, los temas nominados sean interpretados por los mismos artistas que las cantan en las películas, en este caso, «Encanto», el filme de Disney ambientado en Colombia.
«Dos oruguitas» fue compuesta por el actor y músico estadounidense de origen puertorriqueño Lin-Manuel Miranda, que opta al Oscar por segunda vez tras la nominación que consiguió por «How Far I’ll Go», de «Moana», en 2017.
Miranda fue el encargado de escribir ocho de las canciones de la película, entre ellas la popular «We Don’t Talk About Bruno», pero se decidió elegir «Dos oruguitas» -en español en todas las versiones del filme- porque representaba mejor el espíritu de la película.
La oficina de Miranda tampoco confirmó si tendrá una participación en los Oscar junto a Yatra, o en solitario pero aseguró que «podría haber sorpresas».
«Dos oruguitas» compite por el Oscar a mejor canción con «Be Alive» («King Richard»), «No Time to Die» (del filme homónimo de James Bond), «Down to Joy» («Belfast») y «Somehow You Do» («Four Good Days»).
