Pero, Colón desmintió la noticia de que «está bien», «este es un largo camino para la recuperación. Gracias por todo lo que me han dado a lo largo de los años. Con la ayuda de Dios volveré», es el mensaje que publicó Colón en las redes sociales.

El pasado domingo en las mismas redes sociales del artista se difundió un comunicado del accidente. El artista sufrió laceraciones del cuero cabelludo, conmoción cerebral y fracturas de su vértebra cervical que lo dejó en estado «grave».
El artista fue trasladado a Nueva York para ser atendido por sus médicos de confianza.
