Los sistemas de teleféricos dispuestos en el país, así como el servicio que se ofrece en sus instalaciones, han causado sensación entre los turistas internacionales, aseguró el presidente de Venezolana de Teleféricos, Víctor Cruz.
Aseguró que el personal de los sistemas de teleféricos, tanto el Warairarepano, ubicado en el Distrito Capital, y el Mukumbarí, en el estado Mérida, han realizado un trabajo destacable a nivel operativo y de mantenimiento a gran escala, demostrando que están calificados para ejecutar las labores asignadas, reseñó Contrapunto.
«Tenemos un personal que se lo podemos poner al lado a cualquier ciudadano operador de teleférico del mundo, porque ya dimos demostraciones para sustituir una guaya de 8 kilómetros y en el caso del Mukumbarí, retomar la operatividad», detalló durante una entrevista concedida a Unión Radio.
Cruz destacó que los trabajos de mantenimiento y sustitución de guayas representó un reto para los trabajadores del sistema, considerando que en años anteriores las labores eran realizadas por compañías internacionales que dejaron de operar en el país debido a las sanciones económicas que enfrenta el país.
Bajo este orden de ideas, recordó que el próximo 1 de abril y hasta el 15 de mayo se llevarán a cabo trabajos de mantenimiento de la guaya en el Sistema Teleférico Warairarepano, por lo que las instalaciones de la atracción se mantendrán cerradas para el público general.
Aclaró que ninguno de los teleféricos reciben apoyo gubernamental debido a la situación económica nacional, motivo por el que el sustento de la nómina de 600 empleados, así como el mantenimiento, depende directamente de la operatividad del servicio.
El representante del sector aseguró que «lo que se lleva todo turista internacional (en primer lugar) es que la imagen que tiene Venezuela en el extranjero no es la realidad (…) Luego, la belleza de la mujer venezolana y la belleza de las montañas donde se encuentran nuestros teleféricos Wrairarepano y Mukumbarí».
