En las últimas 24 horas las autoridades venezolanas contabilizaron la muerte de una persona por COVID-19, con lo que la cifra de fallecidos desde el inicio de la pandemia alcanzó cinco mil 658, informó este domingo el ministro de Comunicación, Freddy Ñáñez.
«Lamentablemente, reportamos 1 hombre de 75 años fallecido en el estado Anzoátegui, para llegar a cinco mil 658 en el territorio nacional. Condolencias a sus familiares y deudos», escribió el ministro en su cuenta en Twitter.
Además, Ñáñez informó que en las últimas horas se registraron 107 nuevos contagios, 105 por transmisión comunitaria y dos «importados», provenientes de República Dominicana, reseña EFE.
Los casos locales están encabezados por Lara, con 26 nuevos contagios, Apure con 16, Miranda con 15, Caracas con 12, Aragua con 8, Anzoátegui y Zulia con 5 cada uno, La Guaira con 4, Portuguesa, Yaracuy, Táchira, Bolívar, Carabobo y Guárico con dos en cada entidad y Barinas y Monagas con un nuevo caso en cada estado.
De esta manera, Venezuela alcanza los 518 mil 410 casos confirmados desde el inicio de la pandemia, si bien 509 mil 378 son personas recuperadas, lo que representa 98 % del total de contagios.
Este domingo, el presidente Nicolás Maduro recordó que han pasado dos años desde que en el país caribeño se declaró el estado de alarma por la llegada de la COVID-19 y aseguró que desde su Gobierno se han diseñado estrategias y métodos que «han permitido garantizar la salud y el bienestar del pueblo».
«A 2 años de la llegada de la COVID-19 a Venezuela, podemos decir que hemos vencido. Gracias al esfuerzo del Gobierno bolivariano, logramos la vacunación del 100 % de la población mayor de 18 años y más del 60 % de niños, niñas y jóvenes. ¡Seguiremos garantizando salud al Pueblo!», escribió el mandatario en su cuenta en Twitter.
