Un total de 816 nuevos contagios de la COVID-19, todos por transmisión comunitaria, fueron detectados en las últimas 24 horas por las autoridades sanitarias venezolanas, con 312.931 casos acumulados a la fecha, mientras que la tasa de recuperados se mantiene en 95%, al sumar 298 mil 548 pacientes sanados.
Así lo dio a conocer la vicepresidenta Ejecutiva de la República, Delcy Rodríguez, durante el acostumbrado balance diario que ofrece la Comisión Presidencial para el Control y la Prevención de la COVID-19, a través de su cuenta en la red social Twitter, @delcyrodriguezv.
Informó que los casos comunitarios de la jornada se detectaron en 17 estados: Carabobo (114), Caracas (102), Miranda (97), Lara (86), La Guaira (66), Yaracuy (63), Barinas (55), Trujillo (41), Anzoátegui (34), Aragua (31), Nueva Esparta (28), Bolívar (27), Cojedes (26), Táchira (21), Zulia (12), Mérida (11), Sucre (2).
La dos entidades que registran la mayor cantidad de contagios en la jornada son: Carabobo, con nuevos casos en 11 de sus 14 municipios; y Caracas, en 10 de sus 22 parroquias.
Reportó el lamentable fallecimiento de 11 nuevas víctimas de la COVID-19, para sumar 3.705 decesos a la fecha:
- 05 de Lara: 3 mujeres de 72, 76 y 90 años de edad, 2 hombres de 48 y 82 años
- 02 de Caracas: mujer de 67 años, hombre de 67 años
- 02 de Miranda: hombres de 62 y 73 años
- 02 de Zulia: hombres de 54 y 72 años
Desde marzo de 2020 hasta la presente fecha, estas son las estadísticas generales del coronavirus en Venezuela:
- Total de contagios: 312.931 casos acumulados históricos
- Pacientes recuperados: 298.548 (95%)
- Casos activos actuales: 10.678
- 5.401 sin síntomas o Asintomáticos
- 4.360 con Insuficiencia Respiratoria Aguda Leve

- 216 con Insuficiencia Respiratoria Aguda Grave en Unidades de Cuidado Intensivo (UCI)
