Freddy Ñáñez,ministro de Comunicación e Información, informó este lunes 16 de agosto, a través de la red social Twtter que Venezuela registró 16 fallecidos y superó las 3.800 muertes por coronavirus, y mencionó que hay 861 nuevos contagios.
Ñañez indicó que los decesos son de los siguientes Estados del país; Caracas (7), Barinas (5), Anzoátegui (3) y Zulia (1), para un total de 3.815 fallecidos desde el inicio de la pandemia.
La entidad con más casos del día fue Bolívar con (157) , Sucre (2), seguido de Miranda (150), Caracas (115), Falcón (74), Lara (60), Yaracuy (57), Barinas (39), Mérida (35), Nueva Esparta (35), Zulia (29), Apure (27), Amazonas (22), Monagas (21), Carabobo (8), Anzoátegui (8), Táchira (5), Vargas (4), Aragua (4), Guárico (4), Sucre (3), Portuguesa (2), Delta Amacro (1) y Trujillo (1).
Venezuela totaliza 319.955 casos 9.865 casos activos, en el sistema público los atienden en hospitales (6.935) y CDI (2.666). El resto, 264 se encuentran en clínicas privadas.
El vocero del Gobierno detalló que de los contagiados hay 4.409 asintomáticos, 4.495 con insuficiente respiratoria aguda leve, 751 con insuficiente respiratoria aguda moderada y 210 en unidades de cuidados intensivos.
