El presidente de la República, Nicolás Maduro, ratifica este sábado el compromiso del Gobierno Nacional en el combate del narcotráfico con motivo del Día Mundial de la Lucha contra el Uso Indebido y el Tráfico Ilícito de Drogas.
“Venezuela, como fiel defensora y promotora de la Paz, se une al Día Mundial de la Lucha contra el Uso Indebido y el Tráfico Ilícito de Drogas. Estamos comprometidos con el combate del narcotráfico que amenaza a nuestras fronteras. Creemos en una humanidad de nuevos valores”, expresó el jefe de Estado a través de su cuenta en la red social Twitter, publica AVN.
Más de 18 toneladas de drogas fueron incautadas en el territorio nacional en lo que va de año 2021, principalmente los estados fronterizos Zulia, Táchira y Apure, donde concentran el mayor registro de estos procedimientos, informó recientemente el Superintendente Nacional Antidrogas, Richard López Vargas, en el programa radial Venezuela Libre de Drogas.
El Gobierno Nacional tomó la decisión de transformar la Oficina Nacional Antidrogas (ONA) a un nivel de Superintendencia Nacional Antidrogas (Sunad), para fortalecer las políticas públicas y combatir de manera contundente los delitos de tráfico ilegal de estupefacientes en el país.
