Los venezolanos que residan en Canadá hora podrán recibir el pasaporte en su domicilio, así lo informó el director general del Servicio Administrativo de Identificación, Migración y Extranjería (Saime), Gustavo Vizcaíno Gil.
El representante del Saime explicó que el servicio se lleva a cabo a través de un plan piloto.
Vizcaíno ofreció los detalles a través de su cuenta en Instagram @redsocialsaime.
Explicó que los venezolanos en Canadá deberán ingresar a la página del Saime, con su cédula de identidad y clave, y hacer la respectiva solicitud de entrega de pasaporte.
«El Saime tocará su puerta, a través de una empresa de envíos, de forma optativa, para lograr destrancar el problema que tienen allá, ya que el gobierno de Canadá se ha apegado a las sanciones contra Venezuela», dijo.
Indicó que el usuario deberá cancelar únicamente el arancel estipulado por la empresa de encomiendas.
Recientemente, el Saime anunció la entrega de prórrogas a los venezolanos que están fuera del país. También con un sistema de entrega a domicilio.
El servició se implementó para que los venezolanos en aquellos países donde el Estado no tiene presencia consular obtengan el documento de identificación.

Por otra parte, Vizcaíno enfatizó que se mantiene el envío de valijas de forma semanal a las oficinas del Saime dentro del territorio nacional.
Invitó a los usuarios a consultar las redes sociales de la institución donde se publican constantemente los listados de documentos listos para la entrega.
En relación con las valijas consulares, informó que recientemente se enviaron documentos a Reino Unido, (Londres), Ecuador, Argentina, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Guyana, Bolivia, Argentina, México, entre otros.
