Uruguay salvó los muebles al empatar 1-1 con un autogol de Arturo Vidal ante Chile este lunes en el estadio Arena Pantanal de Cuiabá, en la tercera jornada del Grupo A de la Copa América.
En el minuto 26 Eduardo Vargas empezó una pared con Ben Brereton que él mismo finalizó con un disparo cruzado y batió a Fernando Muslera para el 0-1 de la Roja.
Con ese tanto, Vargas, de 31 años y delantero del Atlético Mineiro, llegó a su gol 14 en Copas América, igualando al peruano Paolo Guerrero, y anotó su diana 40 con la selección chilena.
La Roja dominaba las acciones ante el desconcierto de la Celeste, que no hallaba el camino para igualar las acciones.
Pero Vidal convirtió en propia puerta en el minuto 66, cuando marcaba a Luis ‘el Pistolero’ Suárez que también intentó rematar un pase de cabeza de Matías Vecino, para que Uruguay sumara su primer punto en el torneo.
En la acción que celebró Suárez y toda la Celeste, se lesionó Vidal, quien marcó el segundo autogol en la competición, después del de Yerry Mina, de Colombia.
Con ese resultado, Chile es primero provisionalmente en la clasificación con 5 enteros, Argentina segunda con 4, Paraguay tercera con 3, Uruguay cuarta con uno y Bolivia es colista sin puntos.
