La Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (Unesco) evaluó positivamente el expediente elaborado junto a comunidades de varios estados del país para optar al reconocimiento de los Tambores de San Juan como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad.
Así lo informó el ministro para la Cultura, Ernesto Villegas, por medio del Twitter.
«El proceso iniciado a partir de esta instrucción del presidente Nicolás Maduro está por dar resultado. El expediente respectivo, elaborado junto a comunidades de varios estados de Venezuela, ya fue evaluado positivamente por Unesco. En pocos días deben retumbar los tambores», es el mensaje divulgado por el titular en dicha red social.
A su mensaje, Villegas anexó el anuncio oficial que realizara el jefe de Estado en abril de 2018 sobre el comienzo de las gestiones diplomáticas para tal reconocimiento ante la organización, reseñó AVN.
«Hemos dado instrucciones para iniciar las acciones diplomáticas que logren el reconocimiento de los Tambores de San Juan como patrimonio cultural de la humanidad de la Unesco. ¡A llevar nuestro canto y nuestra identidad por el mundo!», fue el mensaje publicado por el mandatario nacional en aquel entonces.
Se trata de una fiesta religiosa cultural, que se celebra cada 24 de junio en los pueblos de Curiepe y Mamporal, en el eje de Barlovento, así como en Valles del Tuy, Guarenas y Guatire, estado Miranda, entre otras entidades de Venezuela.
La Unesco decidirá entre 50 manifestaciones populares de diversos países si el culto a San Juan Bautista es declarado como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad.
