Los números telefónicos del presidente francés, Emmanuel Macron, y de miembros de su gobierno figuran en una lista de posibles objetivos del programa informático Pegasus, que algunos Estados utilizaron para espiar a personalidades, dijo este martes el director de la organización Forbidden Stories.
“Encontramos estos números de teléfono, pero no pudimos realizar evidentemente una investigación técnica del teléfono de Emmanuel Macron” para verificar si está infectado por este software, explicó a la cadena LCI Laurent Richard, confirmando una información del diario Le Monde.
Por lo tanto, “esto no nos dice si se espió realmente al presidente, pero demuestra en cualquier caso que hubo un interés en hacerlo”, agregó el director de esta organización.
“Si se confirman los hechos, es evidente que son muy graves. Esclareceremos estas revelaciones de prensa”, aseguró la presidencia francesa a preguntas sobre si algunos Estados “espiaron potencialmente” al jefe de Estado a través de este software.
Le Monde reveló el martes que estos números, entre ellos los del ex primer ministro Edouard Philippe, figuraban “en la lista de los números seleccionados por un servicio de seguridad del Estado marroquí, usuario del software espía Pegasus, para un eventual pirateo”.
Forbidden Stores y la asociación Amnistía Internacional obtuvieron una lista de 50 mil números de teléfono seleccionados desde 2016 por los clientes del grupo NSO, que desarrolló Pegasus, para una eventual vigilancia.
Ambas organizaciones compartieron a continuación la lista con un consorcio mundial de 17 medios de comunicación, entre ellos los mexicanos Proceso y Aristegui Noticias, que revelaron su existencia el domingo.
Según estas revelaciones, otros de los objetivos potenciales habrían sido varios familiares y colaboradores del presidente mexicano, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
