Un preso en Ecuador asesina a su pareja durante una visita íntima en la cárcel

Un reo cometió femicidio durante una visita íntima en una cárcel de Ecuador, cuyo sistema penitenciario está en emergencia con más de 300 reclusos muertos en revueltas en 2021, informó el sábado el organismo que gestiona las prisiones.

“Se presume el cometimiento de un delito de femicidio por parte de la #PPL (Persona Privada de la Libertad) Edgar C. durante la visita íntima”, indicó el Servicio Nacional de Atención Integral a Personas Adultas Privadas de la Libertad (SNAI).

Según informó El Universo, la víctima fue identificada como Sonia M, quien según el informe policial murió estrangulada por un presidiario en un penal de la sureña provincia de El Oro, limítrofe con Perú, sin brindar más detalles del suceso, reseña AFP.

Se presume que el reo usó cordones para cometer el crimen, que fue alertado por los agentes penitenciarios.

“La mujer llegó a visitar a su pareja en horas de la mañana y ya en la tarde el reo involucrado salió corriendo a pedir ayuda pero ya la mujer ya no tenía signos vitales cuando los paramédicos la revisaron”, indicó Rosmel Gallegos, jefe subrogante del distrito Machala de la Policía Nacional.

La fiscal de turno y el personal de criminalística acudieron para el levantamiento del cadáver.
