Al menos un muerto y unos 24 heridos dejaron varios ataques perpetrados contra la fuerza pública en varias regiones de Colombia durante la noche del miércoles y la madrugada del jueves, informaron las autoridades.
El mayor ataque ocurrió esta madrugada contra la base militar del 27, del Batallón de Infantería número 14 Capitán Antonio Ricaurte, que está ubicada en el municipio de Aguachica, en el departamento del Cesar (norte), detalló el Ejército en un comunicado.
Allí se escucharon cuatro detonaciones producto, al parecer, de ataques con granadas, lo que dejó dos militares con heridas de consideración que fueron traslados al Hospital de Aguachica y 18 más con afectaciones leves, que fueron atendidos dentro de la misma unidad militar.
Por otra parte, el Comando de la Décima Brigada del Ejército señaló que fue atacada con artefactos explosivos la base militar de Chiriguaná, también en el Cesar, donde murió el soldado Faider Martínez Gómez.
También resultó herido con esquirlas otro uniformado, quien fue llevado a un centro médico de Chiriguaná donde es atendido.
Según las autoridades, el ataque fue cometido, al parecer, por la guerrilla del Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) y se llevan a cabo operaciones militares para «identificar a los responsables de este acto terrorista».
