Taylor Swift lanzará en el primer minuto de este viernes ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, su undécimo disco de estudio, en el que estuvo enfocada durante dos años y del que ha asegurado que es su álbum «más necesario«.
Swift anunció este trabajo el pasado 4 de febrero al recibir el decimotercer Grammy de su carrera, su número favorito, en la última edición de esos premios, refiere la nota de EFE.
Inmediatamente después, la cantante, de 34 años, publicó la portada en sus redes sociales, al igual que la lista de nombres de las canciones, y sus fans más fieles pudieron comprarlo en preventa en la página oficial.
Tras eso hubo muy poca información al respecto. Sin embargo, en su gira mundial ‘The Eras Tour’ Swift ha hablado de su proceso de creación y durante uno de sus más recientes conciertos en Melbourne, Australia, aseguró que el álbum fue como «un salvavidas» para ella.
«Necesitaba hacerlo. (…) Me recordó por qué escribir canciones es algo que realmente me ayuda en la vida y nunca he tenido un álbum en el que haya necesitado escribir canciones tanto como en ‘Tortured Poets», dijo la autora de ‘Willow’.
Más explícita y nuevas colaboraciones
El 18 de marzo, Apple Music ofreció la posibilidad a los usuarios de recibir una alerta cuando el álbum estuviera disponible, y con ello reveló que siete de las 16 canciones que componen ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, más un tema extra, tienen lenguaje explícito, una situación cada vez más común en su música.
La publicación de la lista de temas en la plataforma también permitió ver que el disco contará con la colaboración de artistas como Post Malone, que acompañará a la cantante de Pensilvania en el tema ‘Fortnight’ que abre el disco, y de la banda británica de indie rock Florence + the Machine, liderada por Florence Welch, en el tema ‘Florida!!!’.
Además, el lanzamiento estará acompañado de un vídeo que verá la luz el mismo viernes a las 01:00 GMT.
