Story: Estamos tratando de ubicar en EEUU a las personas que hacen sufrir a Venezuela

El embajador de Estados Unidos para Venezuela, James Story, reveló que las autoridades de su país están trabajando para ubicar a las personas vinculadas al Ejecutivo y sus familiares, que residan en territorio estadounidense.

“Las personas que han utilizado su posición dentro de Venezuela para hacer sufrir al pueblo de Venezuela no deberían tener oportunidades de vivir fuera de Venezuela. Tomamos en serio el hecho de que sabemos que algunas personas se encuentran fuera de Venezuela, y sus familiares también, y siempre estamos tratando de ubicar a esas personas, porque no deberían radicar fuera de Venezuela. Deberían vivir la tragedia que ellos crearon dentro de Venezuela”, dijo el embajador durante su entrevista con la periodista Gabriela Perozo.

Story aseguró que actualmente se encuentra en Miami, trabajando en este sentido con organismos como el Departamento de Justicia, el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional y la Oficina de Aduanas y Protección Fronteriza.

“Las personas que han robado al pueblo de Venezuela, que son miembros del régimen, sus familiares, las personas que han hecho tanta tragedia en Venezuela, no tienen que buscar refugio en EEUU ni tampoco en otros países. Vamos a seguir trabajando para que no tengan esa oportunidad”, señaló Story.

El diplomático afirmó que otras naciones, como España, Colombia y Brasil, también adelantan investigaciones para dar con la personas vinculados al Gobierno de Maduro en sus territorios. “Esas personas no deberían gozar de una vida mejor y gastar una plata robada del pueblo de Venezuela”, señaló.
