La seleccionadora venezolana de fútbol femenino, Pamela Conti, respaldó este miércoles a las 24 futbolistas que denunciaron el martes a su predecesor, Kenneth Zseremeta, por abusar sexualmente de una de ellas. Además de haberlas sometido a acoso físico y psicológico.
«Quiero manifestar un total apoyo y respaldo a nuestras jugadoras de la Vinotinto que tomaron la decisión de alzar la voz ante una situación tan lamentable como la que vivieron unos años atrás», escribió Conti en un comunicado compartido en su cuenta de Twitter.
También mostró su apoyo a «todas aquellas futbolistas venezolanas que han sufrido, de una u otra forma, de atropellos verbales, físicos, psicológicos y sexuales en diferentes ámbitos«.
«Estos malos tratos no están apegados a los valores que este deporte universal representa». Igualmente, manifestó que «desde mi lugar de trabajo, defiendo y defenderé como entrenadora, formadora y, sobre todo, como mujer», subrayó.
La seleccionadora explicó que, ahora, su compromiso «es mayor» y consideró que se debe «exaltar el papel de la mujer en esta disciplina. Tomó en cuenta el crecimiento considerable que ha tenido el fútbol femenino a nivel mundial».
24 futbolistas
La denuncia la hicieron ayer las 24 futbolistas en un comunicado difundido por Deyna Castellanos, jugadora del Atlético de Madrid. En él, explican que decidieron «romper el silencio para evitar que las situaciones de abuso y acoso físico, psicológico y sexual, ocasionadas por Zseremeta», «tomen más víctimas en el fútbol femenino y en el mundo».
Afirmaron que, «desde el año 2013 hasta el año 2017, surgieron numerosos incidentes alrededor de la figura del entrenador Zseremeta. Los más comunes como el abuso físico y psicológico durante los entrenamientos».
En el texto, también explican que, en 2020, una de ellas les «confesó que sufrió abuso sexual desde los 14 años por el entrenador». Un abuso que «duró hasta que lo despidieron», en 2017.
«Esto ha sido una noticia que, para todas nosotras. Ha sido muy difícil de asimilar, al grado que muchas de nosotras nos sentimos culpables por haber estado tan cerca de todo esto y no habernos dado cuenta de algo tan grave y punible»», concluyeron. EFE
