La ONG de Venezuela Fundaredes denunció el lunes ante la Fiscalía que, durante el tercer trimestre de 2021, se registraron 176 homicidios en 6 de los 8 estados fronterizos con Brasil y Colombia.
Fundaredes detalló, a través de un comunicado, que el estado Bolívar fue la entidad donde ocurrieron más homicidios, con un total de 68. Le sigue Zulia con 62, Táchira con 24, Falcón con 16, Apure con 4 y Amazonas con 2.
Además, la ONG también contabilizó 53 enfrentamientos que se enmarcan en los patrones de presuntas ejecuciones extrajudiciales, en los cuales 65 personas murieron a manos de funcionarios de seguridad del Estado entre los meses de julio, agosto y septiembre.
Subrayó que los organismos policiales implicados son el Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas (Cicpc), la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana (GNB), las policías regionales de Zulia y Bolívar, y las Fuerzas de Acciones Especiales (FAES).
La organización contabilizó también 94 personas desaparecidas o secuestradas, 60 más que las registradas durante el mismo período de 2020, cuando registró 34 desapariciones o secuestros.
Igualmente, alertó que en entidades como Apure, las víctimas o sus familiares relataron que grupos armados irregulares son los responsables de las desapariciones, y que en la zona actúan las Fuerzas Bolivarianas de Liberación y también grupos de origen colombiano asentados en el territorio venezolano.

La denuncia de Fundaredes ante el Ministerio Público tiene el objetivo de solicitar a los organismos del Estado venezolano que se investigue, se detecte a los responsables y se apliquen las leyes para frenar la ola de violencia que afecta a los habitantes de la frontera de Venezuela.
Desde el pasado 2 de julio, el director de esta ONG, Javier Tarazona, y los activistas Rafael Tarazona y Omar García se encuentran detenidos, acusados de terrorismo, incitación al odio y traición a la patria.
Antes de su detención, Tarazona y sus dos compañeros presentaron denuncias en la Fiscalía para que se investigara la supuesta relación del Estado con miembros de grupos guerrilleros, como la extinta FARC y el ELN, lo que la Fiscalía calificó de difamaciones.
