El director del Cicpc, Douglas Rico, informó que fue esclarecido el homicidio el Antonio Armando Quijada (60), quien fue asesinado en la redoma de Guanta, parroquia y municipio Guanta, estado Anzoátegui. El sexagenario fue interceptado por dos hombres quienes le dieron un tiro, en lo que se presumía era un robo; sin embargo, funcionarios del Eje de Investigaciones de Homicidios Anzoátegui, realizaron las pesquisas y determinaron el móvil real del crimen.
Manifestó, que mediante entrevistas a testigos del hecho y análisis fílmicos a las cámaras de seguridad que se encontraban en el sector, se conoció que el Quijada fue sometido por Asdrúbal José Natera Martínez (29), apodado El Negrito y Jesús Ramón Barrera Díaz (35), apodado El Brujo, a bordo de una motocicleta Empire Keeway, El Express, placa AJ0J29M (recuperada), del cual descendió Asdrúbal y sin mediar palabras le quitó la vida.
Agregó, que tras la detención de los involucrados en la avenida Paseo Miranda, municipio Juan Antonio Sotillo, parroquia Puerto La Cruz, y realizar los interrogatorios correspondientes, se conoció que alias El Negrito, le quitó la vida a la víctima, luego que su padrino de religión, alias El Santero, le pusiera como condición asesinar a una persona al azar, para que su esposa pudiera llegar a término el embarazo de alto riesgo que tenía.
Es de mencionar que queda por ubicar el arma homicida; por lo que los homicidas fueron puestos a la orden de las Fiscalías Superior y 20º del Ministerio Público.
