El director del Saime, Gustavo Vizcaíno, informó que las oficinas del Saime trabajarán por el número de cédula durante las semanas de flexibilización anunciadas por el gobierno nacional a partir del 01 de noviembre y hasta fin de año.
«Todas las semanas vamos a trabajar y con el número de cédula», respondió al ser consultado por Esther Quiaro en el programa Al Instante de Unión Radio, donde aprovechó para recordar que se seguirán extremando las medidas de bioseguridad para evitar contagios de COVID-19.
Informó que se han entregado 849 mil citas para pasaporte a nivel nacional e internacional durante la pandemia, y aseguró que hay material suficiente para entregar las cédulas de identidad, así como pasaportes y sus respectivas prórrogas.
Adelantó que realizan trabajos para que también la libreta de pasaporte pueda ser enviada con el sistema de servicio a domicilio en el exterior.
Denunciar gestores
Vizcaíno hizo un llamado a las personas para que no utilicen a gestores «que buscan estafar a los ciudadanos».
Respaldó las acciones llevadas a cabo por la Fiscalía para desmantelar bandas de estafadores con documentos del Saime.
«Quien trafica y hace manipulaciones de documentos de identidad debe castigarse con todo el peso de la ley’ (…) Donde haya gestores externos le hago un llamado al pueblo para que los denuncie».
