El presidente iraní, Hasan Rohaní, aseguró este jueves que acordó la eliminación de las principales sanciones de Estados Unidos contra Irán.
El mandatario adelantó que el levantamiento de sanciones incluye al sector petrolero y bancario.
“Hoy están sentados en la mesa de negociaciones y han admitido que todas las principales sanciones van a ser eliminadas”, adelantó Rohaní en un discurso.
Rohaní subrayó que consiguieron dar “el paso más importante” y se ha logrado “un acuerdo principal”. Sin embargo, reconoció que todavía quedan por discutir algunos asuntos para llegar al pacto definitivo.
Cerca de volver al acuerdo nuclear con Irán
Las conversaciones se dan en medio de las negociaciones nucleares de Viena, para salvar el acuerdo nuclear de 2015.
En el proceso también participan los países que siguen en el pacto, Irán, Alemania, Francia, el Reino Unido, Rusia y China, e incluyen contactos indirectos con EEUU que abandonó el acuerdo en 2018.
Este miércoles la Unión Europea, que coordina las negociaciones, se mostró optimista de que en las próximas semanas se pueda cerrar un acuerdo, reseña EFE.
El pacto nuclear se encuentra muy debilitado desde que EEUU se retirara del mismo en 2018. En ese momento, impuso nuevamente sanciones contra Irán.
