El rector del Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE), Roberto Picón, afirmó este lunes que están «muy pendientes» de los resultados del diálogo que se efectúa en México entre sectores de la oposición y representantes del gobierno venezolano.
Considera que la negociación «puede ayudar a que se concreten las condiciones políticas más que técnicas, que permitan una mayor participación» ciudadana y de actores políticos en el proceso electoral del próximo 21 de noviembre.
«Veo prudencia y sensatez en el sentido que creo que el proceso de negociación se está dando de una manera prudente, guardando el tema de comunicación para no generar unas expectativas que después vayan a frustrarse», dijo en entrevista concedida a Román Lozionski en el circuito Éxitos que transmite Unión Radio.
Sobre el tema de las inhabilitaciones políticas, sostuvo que es el «momento clave» y que lo que ocurra en los próximos días será «muy importante» frente al periodo de postulación de candidatos. «Ojalá que avancemos con eso esta semana», agregó.

El rector aseguró que hasta el momento se cumplieron cada uno de los lapsos establecidos en el cronograma electoral de los venideros comicios.
Comentó que contar con un cronograma electoral «que no se altere de acuerdo a las necesidades de los políticos» representa una «importante garantía».
Picón aseveró que de acuerdo a los más recientes sondeos de opinión la percepción positiva respecto al CNE mejoró aproximadamente un 10 % con la llegada de los nuevos rectores.
Añadió que la última encuesta reveló que la participación ciudadana podría subir a un 50 % o 55 % del registro electoral «dependiente de las condiciones políticas y de quién participe y quién no».
