Ricky Martin ofrecerá dos conciertos especiales junto al director de orquesta venezolano Gustavo Dudamel y la Filarmónica de Los Ángeles (LA Phil) para celebrar el 100 aniversario del Hollywood Bowl, uno de los recintos de conciertos más emblemáticos de Estados Unidos.
Los recitales del cantante puertorriqueño y el director venezolano, el 22 y 23 de julio, formarán parte de la programación veraniega del conocido recinto de Los Ángeles, que contará con artistas como Billie Eilish, Debbie Harry, Duran Duran, Grace Jones, Diana Ross y Flying Lotus.
Después de las dificultades impuestas por la pandemia, el recinto ubicado en las colinas de Hollywood celebrará por lo alto su primer siglo de historia. En el que ha visto actuar a estrellas de la talla de The Beatles, Prince, The Doors y Ella Fitzgerald.
«Realmente no hay lugar como el Hollywood Bowl. Nada puede compararse con la sensación de estar allí una noche de verano», aseguró Dudamel.
El director venezolano protagonizará diez conciertos al frente de la Filarmónica de Los Ángeles. Incluso dos noches que homenajearán al compositor Leonard Bernstein y dos veladas junto al Paris Opera Ballet, que no actúa en EE.UU. con su formación completa desde el año 2012.
Juntos
Como broche a esta serie de conciertos, Dudamel se unirá a Ricky Martin en dos noches especiales en las que la Filarmónica de Los Ángeles interpretará los temas más destacados del puertorriqueño.
Entre las actuaciones más sorprendentes destaca el concierto que darán el 25 de septiembre Grace Jones, icono de los años 1980, y Chvrches, una de las cantantes más importantes de la escena alternativa actual.
Dos meses antes, la estrella del pop Billie Eilish y la exvocalista de Blondie, Debbie Harry, interpretarán temas de Peggy Lee y Frank Sinatra en un recital especial el 27 de julio.
Para celebrar su proximidad a la meca del cine, la orquesta del Hollywood Bowl también tocará la banda sonora de películas como «Harry Potter», «Back to the Future» y «Amadeus».
Por su parte, Chucho Valdés y The Gipsy Kings pondrán el acento latino a la programación.
