Resistencia a los talibanes se organiza en el valle de Panshir

La resistencia frente a los talibanes se está organizando en la región del Panshir, liderada por el vicepresidente Amrullah Saleh y el hijo del comandante Masud, el emblemático líder antitalibán fallecido, señaló el ministro ruso de Relaciones Exteriores, Serguei Lavrov, este jueves (19.08.2021).

«Los talibanes no controlan todo Afganistán. Hay informaciones que llegan del Panshir«, al noreste de Kabul, «donde se concentran las fuerzas de la resistencia del vicepresidente Saleh y de Ahmad Masud«, dijo Lavrov en una rueda de prensa.

Asimismo, Lavrov pidió de nuevo «un diálogo nacional que permita la formación de un gobierno representativo» y destacó que Rusia hacía hincapié en esta idea antes de que los talibanes se hicieran con el poder en Kabul y en la mayoría del país.

Amrullah Saleh, que fue vicepresidente del gobierno de Ashraf Ghani, prometió no someterse a los talibanes y se refugió en el valle del Panshir.

Por su parte, Masud también anunció que se opondría a los talibanes y haría suya la lucha por la libertad que libró su padre, héroe de la resistencia antisoviética y posteriormente en la lucha contra los talibanes. El comandante murió en un atentado dos días antes de los ataques del 11 de septiembre de 2001.

Esta resistencia podría ser la primera piedra de una rebelión contra el nuevo régimen en la zona del Panshir, una zona de difícil acceso y que nunca cayó en manos de los talibanes ni de las tropas soviéticas en los años 80.DW
