La Organización Nacional de Salvamento y Seguridad Marítima de los espacios Acuáticos de Venezuela (ONSA) informó la tarde de este domingo que fueron encontrados «sanos y salvos» los pescadores de la embarcación Guzmán Alix, que zarpó el viernes 8 de octubre a las 5.00 de la tarde de la Península del Macanao con destino a El Piedral y nunca llegó.
Según detalla un escrito difundido por ONSA, el peñero se desorientó por la nubosidad y perdieron el rumbo correcto. Navegaron hasta el sur hasta que la embarcación agotó el combustible y quedó a la deriva.
Los tripulantes, Luis Albino Villarroel (23) y Tomás Felipe Vásquez (18) fueron hallados por pescadores de la circunscripción acuática de Puerto La Cruz, quienes remolcaron el peñero y lo llevaron hasta el Golfo de Santa Fe.
La noche del 9 de octubre ONSA emitió una alerta de embarcación demorada e indicaron que se requería asistencia de búsqueda y salvamento.
