Roberto Picón y Enrique Márquez, rectores opositores del Consejo Nacional Electoral, rechazaron el lunes la detención del dirigente Freddy Guevara. Advirtieron que este tipo de acciones no contribuyen a la democracia.
“Rechazo enérgicamente la detención de Freddy Guevara. En momentos donde el país intenta construir caminos de diálogo y entendimiento es una pésima señal. La democracia no solo se construye con elecciones sino en el respeto constante de los derechos ciudadanos”, dijo Márquez en un mensaje en Twitter.
Picón expresó asimismo, a través de la misma red social, que tanto la detención de Guevara, como la de los tres activistas de la ONG Fundaredes, son acciones que no contribuyen a la recuperación de la institucionalidad de Venezuela.
“Por el contrario, agudizan el clima de temor, persecución, violencia y descomposición social que vivimos”, afirmó.
Picón destacó que la ausencia de legalidad, el no seguimiento del debido proceso o la criminalización de la denuncia, contradicen el espíritu de entendimiento, negociación y participación que se debe promover para encontrar soluciones pacíficas a la grave crisis.
A Guevara lo detuvieron cuando transitaba por una autopista de Caracas. El Ministerio Público confirmó que el Servicio Bolivariano de Inteligencia Nacional lo detuvo por presunto vínculo con grupos extremistas y paramilitares asociados al gobierno colombiano.
El Ministerio Público lo está imputando por los delitos de terrorismo, atentado contra el orden constitucional, concierto para delinquir y traición a la patria.
El pasado sábado, la vicepresidenta Delcy Rodríguez lo mencionó durante un balance que ofreció acerca de los tiroteos en Caracas la semana pasada, especialmente alrededor de la Cota 905.
Rodríguez se refirió a un tuit que Guevara publicó durante los enfrentamientos entre bandas criminales y policías que dejaron varios muertos y heridos. Y que también frenaron la vida cotidiana en el oeste de la capital.
“¿Qué tiene que ver el Acuerdo de Salvación Nacional con este mega drama que se vive en Caracas con las bandas armadas, Apure y el Arco Minero? Todo: solo con un acuerdo político avalado por la comunidad internacional el Estado podrá recuperar el control territorial del país”, publicó el dirigente.
