El presidente del Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE) de Venezuela, Pedro Calzadilla, aseguró este lunes que la campaña para los comicios regionales y locales del próximo 21 de noviembre comenzó con «desequilibrios» en cuanto a la exposición de los candidatos en los medios de comunicación.
«Ya comenzamos a identificar desequilibrios en términos de exposición de los candidatos o de la propaganda que se transmite por televisión. En cuatro días, lo hemos detectado. Ya hemos hecho las llamadas respectivas a los partidos políticos y candidatos para que subsanen esta situación», explicó Calzadilla desde una sala de monitoreo de campaña del CNE, transmitido por el canal estatal VTV y reseñado por EFE.
El rector no ofreció detalles sobre los candidatos u organizaciones políticas que incumplieron la normativa, pero dijo que ya les «llamaron la atención» para que hagan las correcciones respectivas.
Igualmente, afirmó que ya han detectado «algunos» ilícitos en cuanto al contenido de la campaña que está regulado en la Ley Orgánica de Procesos Electorales (LOPRE), mencionando la prohibición de la aparición de niños en los mensajes de los postulados y sus partidos políticos.
«Sobre ellos actuamos también. Hemos llamado a los responsables de estas organizaciones, quienes han realizado estas cuñas (para) que corrijan y así lo han hecho», agregó el presidente del CNE, sin indicar cuáles fueron los partidos políticos que cometieron la infracción.
En cuanto al «equilibrio informativo», Calzadilla expresó que están «más satisfechos» porque han visto un esfuerzo por parte de los medios, aunque -agregó- algunos tienen una cobertura «muy baja» sobre las elecciones regionales y locales del próximo 21 de noviembre.
La campaña electoral de cara a los comicios locales y regionales de este año en Venezuela arrancó el jueves y culminará el 18 de noviembre, tres días antes de que se celebren las elecciones.
