El presidente de Rusia, Vladímir Putin, ordenó hoy a sus tropas avanzar en todas direcciones después de tres días de ofensiva militar en Ucrania y acusar al presidente de ese país, Volodímir Zelenski, de negarse a sentarse con él en la mesa de negociaciones bajo sus condiciones para detener la guerra.
«Después de que la parte ucraniana rechazara el proceso de conversaciones, hoy se les dio a todas las unidades la orden de iniciar la ofensiva en todas las direcciones en correspondencia con el plan de la operación», declaró el portavoz del Ministerio de Defensa de Rusia, Ígor Konashénkov.
El portavoz del Kremlin, Dmitri Peskov, aseguró este sábado que Putin, en calidad de comandante en jefe, ordenó el viernes detener el avance del grueso de las tropas rusas a la espera de una respuesta positiva de Zelenski, pero al no producirse ésta en el sentido que esperaba, se retractó en su decisión y se reanudó la ofensiva.
Ofensiva total tras una pausa
La supuesta pausa decretada por el presidente ruso no se sintió en ninguno de los principales focos de combate, en los que las Fuerzas Armadas de Rusia destruyeron 821 objetivos militares ucranianos con misiles de crucero terrestres y navales, según el parte ruso.
En Kiev, ya de madrugada, se oyeron explosiones y tiroteos, pero la Alcaldía de la ciudad aseguró que no hay tropas regulares rusas allí, sino grupos de sabotaje.
Zelenski, quien permanece en la ciudad pese a las propuestas de evacuación hechas por EEUU, aseguró que «los ocupantes querían bloquear el centro del país y poner títeres (prorrusos) aquí, como en Donetsk», en el este de Ucrania.
«Desbaratamos su plan, no obtuvieron ninguna ventaja sobre nosotros», afirmó.
