La presidenta del Instituto Nacional de Nutrición (INN), Marilyn Di Luca, ofreció datos acerca del consumo alimenticio de los venezolanos y venezolanas, indicando que el pescado representa la tercera opción de consumo de proteína del país, por detrás de las aves y carnes de res.
Mediante el programa radial número 19 de Venezuela Come Pescado, Di Luca aseguró que las estadísticas del instituto sugieren la distribución de 21 mil toneladas de pescado al mes para que el pueblo venezolano pueda recibir las proteínas necesarias.
Señaló que los especialistas en nutrición recomiendan el consumo de pescado dos o tres veces a la semana, entre 150 y 200 gramos por cada consumo, lo cual aporta un valor nutricional relevante en la alimentación.
“El pescado ofrece un alto valor nutricional, además de ser una proteína que fortalece la garantía alimentaria de la población, nuestros aportes van desde las políticas organizativas, buenas prácticas y sobre todo de buenos resultados, como la producción y la óptima distribución a través de los diversos programas de alimentación implementados por el Gobierno Bolivariano que conduce el presidente Nicolás Maduro Moros”, explicó Di Luca.
Durante la transmisión, la viceministra de Procesamiento y Distribución Pesquera y Acuícola, Olga Luisa Figueroa, resaltó que los estudios de distribución de la proteína del mar y río se dan con la firme intención de contribuir en la dieta de los hogares venezolanos y que estas preferencias se deben a la facilidad en el preparado del mismo.
El viceministro de Producción Primaria Pesquera y Acuícola, Miguel Carpio, manifestó que más de 76 mil toneladas de sardinas fueron capturadas y distribuidas durante el año 2021, según detalla YVKE Mundial.
“Esta especie es uno de los rubros pesqueros más importantes por el alto volumen de captura, la meta está clara, aumentar la producción pesquera y acuícola durante el 2022, no solo de la sardina sino de todas las especies”, señaló Carpio.
A su vez, el director general de Gestión Comunicacional del Minpesca, Johalbert Aponte, añadió que todos los esfuerzos realizados para cumplir las metas establecidas y potenciar la distribución y consumo del pescado en todo el territorio nacional, son gracias al apoyo y orientación del presidente Nicolás Maduro Moros y del ministro Juan Luis Laya Rodríguez.
