El Gobernador Omar Prieto, como parte de sus acciones para garantizar el transporte público al pueblo zuliano y la fuente laboral de este gremio instaló el Estado Mayor de Combustible en el Zulia instancia que tendrá el objetivo de establecer planes que optimicen la distribución de gasolina, gasoil y gas a los diferentes sectores priorizados durante la contingencia ocasionada por la pandemia de la COVID-19.
En este orden, el mandatario regional expresó que bajo el acompañamiento de la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana (FANB), el Cuerpo de Policía Bolivariana del Estado Zulia (CPBEZ), y las policías municipales se aplicarán planes que mejorarán la distribución del combustible de forma organizada y segura.
En este sentido, Prieto Fernández destacó la creación de un voluntariado integrado por su persona, autoridades de la Zona Operativa de Defensa Integral, ZODI-Zulia y todos los transportistas a fin de asumir el control y la distribución de combustible para el gremio.
La actividad se llevó a cabo en las instalaciones del Metro de Maracaibo, allí el Gobernador Omar Prieto estuvo acompañado por el G/D Manuel Castillo Rengifo, Comandante de la Zona Operativa de Defensa Integral, el Presidente del Metro de Maracaibo, Alex Ayala, el G/B Eliezer Pereira Burgos, Comandante General del Cuerpo de Policía Bolivariano del Estado Zulia (CPBEZ) y representantes de 14 asociaciones del sector transporte quienes apoyaron las propuestas establecidas por el mandatario regional en pro del beneficio colectivo.
