El presidente de Perú, Pedro Castillo, intentó desacreditar a sus opositores, que en su opinión pretenden vincularlo con actos de corrupción, al asegurar que «están tramando muchas cosas» y especular con que saldrán audios y videos para comprometerlo con esos ilícitos.
Durante una visita de trabajo a Cusco, el jefe de Estado afirmó que está seguro que «están tramando muchas cosas, saldrán audios, videos editados, pero no podrán callarnos y no podrán doblegar nuestro esfuerzo» en el Ejecutivo.
«Pido desde Urubamba (Cusco) no dejarse sorprender por algunas voces que a veces quieren hacernos caer, hacernos entender que estamos imbuidos en actos de corrupción», afirmó Castillo.
Sin embargo, agregó que «sería triste y lamentable que un niño, un joven, un adolescente, tenga al frente a un presidente que siendo maestro meta las manos, meta las uñas, a lo que corresponde a los presupuestos del país».
El gobernante se refirió de esta forma a los rumores que circulan en redes sociales y medios locales sobre la posibilidad de que se publiquen audios o videos que lo comprometan con el presunto delito de tráfico de influencias u otros cargos, reseña EFE.
Esto a raíz de la difusión de los encuentros privados que el mandatario ha tenido con legisladores, funcionarios y empresarios en una casa de Lima, sin un registro oficial de las citas.
Además, el mandatario se enfrenta a la posibilidad de que el Congreso apruebe el martes una moción de vacancia (destitución) por presunta incapacidad moral presentada por la legisladora opositora Patricia Chirinos, publica EFE.
El viernes, Castillo inició una serie de encuentros con los líderes de las bancadas en el Congreso para dialogar sobre la gobernabilidad en el país, reuniones que continuarán el día lunes en Palacio de Gobierno.
En esos encuentros, el presidente recibió el pedido de la oposición de aclarar esas citas privadas, que el mandatario atribuyó a su vida personal.
