Oficiales del Instituto Autónomo Policía del Municipio San Francisco detuvieron un hombre y una mujer, que tras asumir una actitud nerviosa, fueron sorprendidos con 87 gramos en 705 envoltorios de sustancias psicotrópicas y estupefacientes, presuntamente cocaína.
Los funcionarios se trasladaban, en labores inherentes a sus funciones, según instrucciones del Comisario General Jorge Luis Sará, Director de Polisur, junto a la oficial canina Asia, cuando observan a un hombre y una mujer con actitud nerviosa, tratando de evadir a la Comisión Policial, por lo que proceden a seguirlos, logrando darle alcance y restringirlos a pocos metros del lugar.
Al realizarle la respectiva inspección corporal, descubren en la pretina delantera del pantalón del ciudadano, 405 envoltorios de material sintético de color blanco, que contenían una sustancia con olor fuerte, de presunta cocaína con un peso de 50 gramos; mientras a la mujer se le logró incautar, en sus partes íntimas, 300 envoltorios de material sintético de color blanco, que contenía en su interior de una sustancia que se presume sea cocaína, teniendo un peso de 37 gramos. Lo que hace un total de 705 envoltorios con un peso de 87 gramos.
En vista del hallazgo proceden al arresto de los ciudadanos, dejándoles claros sus Derechos y Garantías Constitucionales, siendo trasladados hasta el Hospital Doctor Manuel Noriega Trigo, para su respectiva valoración médica y posteriormente a la Sala de Guarda, Custodia y Garantías de Privados de Libertad de Polisur, donde fueron identificados como Yesica Coromoto Betancourt Petit, de 32 años y Carlos Leonidas Arenas Betancourt, de 44 años, quedando a la orden del Ministerio Público.
