El hombre que estacionó su camioneta frente al Capitolio y amagó con hacer explotar una bomba fue detenido por la Policía, luego de varias horas de negociaciones, confirmaron autoridades.
El jefe de Policía del Capitolio, Tom Manger, había reportado en conferencia de prensa el avance de las negociaciones con el sujeto que confirmó tener un explosivo en su vehículo.
Manger dijo en una conferencia de prensa cerca del Capitolio que el sospechoso había estado transmitiendo en vivo en Facebook su atentado, donde hablo de que había “una revolución en marcha”.
El video publicado en esa red social dura aproximadamente media hora y muestra a un individuo desde el interior de un camión, sosteniendo un bote que dice que es una bomba y hablando sobre una “revolución”, así como de los talibanes. Varios clips fueron compartidos en Twitter.

Dos agentes de la ley familiarizados con la investigación identificaron al hombre como Floyd Ray Roseberry de Carolina del Norte, según un reporte de The Washington Post, aunque minutos después la Policía del Capitolio confirmó en su cuenta de Twitter la identidad del hombre.
