El presidente de Perú, Pedro Castillo, reformó este miércoles su Gobierno con el cambio de siete ministros, incluido el polémico primer ministro, Guido Bellido, que será reemplazado por la expresidenta del Congreso y abogada activista por los derechos humanos Mirtha Vásquez.
Tan sólo 70 días después de haber asumido el poder, las modificaciones en el Ejecutivo llevan implícito un distanciamiento con el partido marxista Perú Libre, que llevó a Castillo a ganar las elecciones, y especialmente con su secretario general, Vladimir Cerrón, cuyo hombre de plena confianza era Bellido, reseñó EFE.
A cambio, el mandatario peruano dio mayor espacio en su gabinete al ala moderada compuesta por otros partidos de izquierda como Nuevo Perú y Juntos por el Perú, quienes apoyaron a Castillo en la segunda vuelta de la campaña electoral.
Es el caso de Vásquez, que en la pasada legislatura fue electa congresista por el Frente Amplio de izquierdas y ocupó la Presidencia del Poder Legislativo durante el periodo de transición tras la crisis política de noviembre de 2020, donde Perú tuvo tres presidentes en una semana.
Vásquez es además oriunda de la norteña región andina de Cajamarca, igual que Castillo, donde se hizo conocida como abogada de la agricultora Máxima Acuña en su litigio contra la Minera Yanacocha para evitar que fuera despojada de su casa e impedir así la instalación de una gran mina de oro.
También juraron por primera vez como ministros Luis Barranzuela, en Interior; Carlos Gallardo, en Educación; Betssy Chávez, en Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo; José Incio, en Producción; Eduardo Gonzáles, en Energía y Minas, y Gisela Ortiz, en Cultura.
Se destaca la inclusión la congresista de Perú Libre Betssy Chávez, una de las integrantes del partido oficialista más críticas con el comportamiento de Cerrón y especialmente de Bellido en estas primeras semanas al frente del Gobierno.
