El Gobierno peruano enviará un avión de la Fuerza Aérea para evacuar a cientos de peruanos que se encuentran en Ucrania en medio de un conflicto tras la invasión de tropas de Rusia, dijo el viernes el presidente Pedro Castillo.
De acuerdo a una funcionaria de la cancillería peruana aproximadamente 320 peruanos radican en Ucrania, de los cuales 196 se han registrado en una lista para ser evacuados a Lima.
«Por los problemas conflictivos que existen últimamente en Ucrania acabamos de disponer que a través del ministerio de Defensa se dispongan aviones para rescatar a nuestros hermanos«, dijo Castillo durante un evento público en un barrio de Lima.
He dispuesto el envío de un avión del @MindefPeru para evacuar a los peruanos en Ucrania. Desde la @CancilleriaPeru se está brindando todo el apoyo a nuestros compatriotas. Esperamos que a través del diálogo se logre una solución pacífica en favor de ambas naciones.

Castillo no ofreció más detalles sobre esta decisión, en momentos en que el tráfico aéreo está cerrado en Ucrania. El ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Perú dijo por Twitter que se empleará a un avión de la Fuerza Aérea para repatriar a los ciudadanos peruanos.
Nuevos misiles caían el viernes sobre Kiev, la capital de Ucrania, mientras las fuerzas rusas seguían avanzando y el presidente ucraniano, Volodimir Zelenski, pedía a la comunidad internacional que hiciera más esfuerzos, diciendo que las sanciones anunciadas no eran suficientes.
María Antonieta Masana, embajadora de comunidades en el Exterior de la Cancillería del Perú, dijo el jueves a un canal de televisión local que se evaluaba cómo sacar a los peruanos de Ucrania por vía terrestre hasta la frontera con Polonia.
«De Kiev a Polonia es más o menos unas cinco horas en bus. Nuestro consulado va asumir los costos de transporte, alimentación, alojamiento hasta la frontera, donde los van a estar esperando nuestros funcionarios de la embajada«, afirmó.
La cancillería dijo el viernes por Twitter y en un comunicado que Perú «condena enérgicamente» la ofensiva militar de la Federación Rusa contra Ucrania y su población, e invocó de «manera urgente un cese del fuego y de todas las hostilidades«.
«Insto a la comunidad mundial, insto a los pueblos de mundo que dejemos las confrontaciones«, afirmó el presidente Castillo durante su discurso en el distrito Puente Piedra. «Llamo a que los conflictos no se solucionen con balas«, agregó.
