Edson Arantes do Nascimento «Pelé» recibió el alta médica tras recuperarse de una infección urinaria y seguirá con el tratamiento del tumor en el colon que se le fue detectado en septiembre, informaron este lunes los médicos que le asistieron.
El astro fue dado de alta el pasado sábado del Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein de Sao Paulo, donde se encontraba ingresado desde el pasado 13 de febrero para dar secuencia al tratamiento del cáncer de colon, según explicó su equipo médico en un comunicado divulgado hoy, reseña EFE.
Según la nota, Pelé se vio obligado a extender su estancia en el centro médico de la capital paulista después de que contrajera una infección urinaria, de la que ya está «curado» y por lo que recibió el alta en fin de semana.
«El paciente se encuentra en condiciones clínicas estables, ya curado de su infección urinaria, y seguirá el tratamiento del tumor de colon, identificado en septiembre de 2021«, anunció un comunicado divulgado por el hospital.
