Con la totalidad de actas de votación contabilizadas, Castillo obtuvo 8.835.579 de votos, una diferencia de 44.058 votos sobre Fujimori, que recibió el respaldo de 8.791.521 electores.
El balotaje celebrado el pasado 6 de junio convocó a más de 25 millones de peruanos, de los cuales 18,8 millones (74,5 %) emitieron su voto en el país y en el extranjero.
Además de los 17,6 millones de votos válidos, hubo más de un millón de votos nulos, que corresponden al 5,8 % del total de emitidos, y 121.477 votos en blanco, que representan 0,64 %, de acuerdo al reporte de la ONPE.
De un total de 86.488 actas procesadas por la ONPE, 221 fueron anuladas por resolución y seis corresponden a mesas de votación que no se llegaron a instalar.
No obstante, el Jurado Nacional de Elecciones (JNE), máximo órgano electoral en el país, se encuentra en estos momentos deliberando, a través de sus oficinas descentralizadas, respecto a las actas cuestionadas, que en su mayoría han sido desestimadas por haber sido presentadas fuera de plazo o sin sustento de fondo.
Nulidad de los comicios
Los personeros y asesores legales de Fuerza Popular evalúan asimismo apelar algunas de las resoluciones emitidas por los jurados electorales, en tanto otros representantes aliados del fujimorismo, como el congresista electo Jorge Montoya, han deslizado la posibilidad de pedir la nulidad de los comicios.
La Constitución peruana no habilita la anulación de elecciones bajo ningún concepto, salvo «cuando los votos nulos o en blanco, sumados o separadamente, superen los dos tercios del número de votos válidos», según señala en su artículo 184.
Ante este panorama, Castillo declaró este martes que «nosotros defendemos siempre el marco democrático. Estamos a la espera de que las autoridades electorales confirmen» el resultado.
«Lo que se ha venido haciendo por nuestra parte ha sido no solamente una defensa (del voto) en todos los escenarios, sino también decir al país que por nuestra parte no hay ningún tipo de agresión, ni administrativa, o moral, o política y menos electoral», indicó el maestro en declaraciones a la prensa extranjera en Lima.
